Provided resources and technical assistance to develop, pilot, publish and distribute a Guide to be used by teachers and counselors as an instructional tool with the CAREER COMPASS publication.

 

Sponsored a report that tracks the progress of the state’s career and technical education high schools during a five-year period.

 

Participated as a partner for education reform and Council members and staff were involved in the planning and implementation of the statewide Summit on Education Reform.

 

Revised and implemented the awards and recognition program to recognize individuals and organizations who make outstanding contributions to the field of career and technical education.

 

Provided resources to develop and expand Agriscience and Technology Education programs on a statewide basis through staff and curriculum development.

 

Provided input, representation and supported the work of the Business and Marketing, Agriscience and Technology Education State Framework Commissions.

 

Supported the adoption of new state standards and leadership for Family and Consumer Science, (formerly known as Home Economics) and provided resources for teachers and students to benefit from the related youth organization, Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA).
